Marriage - The Right Time For Children

Tuesday, November 27th, 2007

By Michael Russell In the long list of major decisions in a marriage, when to have children has got to be at the top of that list. Let’s face it, when you’re first married, you’re starting your careers. You’re trying very hard to advance as far as you can in them. And with today’s families being two income families, for the most part anyway, it’s not like the husband can perform his manly duties, get his wife pregnant and then just run off to work and everything is fine. Many times this means the wife has to take leave from work, at least for a while and then when she returns, if she returns, there is the matter of child care. As you can see, this isn’t something that’s so easy to work around. So the question is, when IS the right time to have children? The truth is, there is no right time. If you were to sit down and go through your life, planning everything out year by year and then took a dart and threw it somewhere along this time line, the chances of hitting a time where having children would be a piece of cake are slim to none. Think about it. At the beginning of your marriage you’re just getting to know each other. You want to spend some time alone with each other. The last thing you feel you want to do is add a baby to the mix because that baby would take time away from both of you spending time together. Be honest. That’s how most of us feel. Then, maybe four or five years into our marriage, we’re stuck in the career dilemma. We’ve bought our first home and the only way we can pay it off is if we both work. Well, if you’re both going to work, it’s pretty hard raising a kid when nobody is home. And you can’t quit your job or career because you’re deep in debt. Finally, your careers are pretty settled, you’ve advanced up the ladder, the money is good and you have more than enough to afford a child except you look up and you’re 40 years old. You start to think that you’re a little too old to be having children. So you sit back on your couch and give a sigh. You wish you had decided to have a child sooner. If you think the above scenario is a little far fetched, it’s not. The sad truth is, this is pretty much what most couples go through in today’s world when they decide to have or not have children. So the question you’re waiting to have answered is, “When IS the right time to have children?” Sadly, there is no answer to this question. The right time is what is right for you. But, if you ask most people who have had children of their own and also wrestled with these issues, they will tell you not to wait. They’ll tell you that there is never a right time. They’ll tell you that there is always something in the way. And they’ll also tell you that having a child was the greatest thing they ever did. How to Spice Up Your Garden with Decor

Saturday, November 24th, 2007

By Khieng Chho The art of garden never fails to transform an idle tract of land into a beautiful and lively environment. Gardens feed the spirits longing for beauty and grace as it provides a venue to witness the wonder of nature and the comforts of home. While plants and trees are enough to make a garden delightful, the landscape can surely be enhanced by installing garden dcor. There are many types of garden decors each having unique features and purposes for your garden. Here are some garden decors: Arbors, Pillars, and Gazebos these are large structures that can add a good focal point to your garden. Having large structures can create an illusion of having a large space. These structures can also serve as platforms for aerial plants. Climbing foliage such as vines may also cling to these platforms, creating an elegantly classic garden effect. Statuaries and Wind Sculptures these also provide good focal points for the landscape. Such structures add a sense of prominence, strength, and sturdiness. Bird feeders and bird baths these simple additions to a garden attract beautiful creatures the landscape. Since a garden is generally inadequate without the chirp of robins and jays, installing something that would make them feel welcome is a good way of cheering up the garden. Other architectural ornamentation architectural structures create a good balance with and contrast against the natural elements of a garden such as shrubs and trees. Man-made structures enhance the sight of nature, making it appear more familiar and inviting. Trellises and obelisks these are good in blocking obtrusive structure and other unwanted views. It is impossible to have a perfect view all the time as obstructions cannot be completely eliminated. Luckily you can install structures that can block eyesores. Trellises are good for this purpose because they can act as support for clinging vines. Fountains and ponds water dripping and splashing can be great way to relax. Fountains are usually installed to add a natural ambience that can draw positive energy to your garden. Having a fountain in your garden can also make it a suitable place for meditation exercises like yoga and tai chi. If you have the budget, you may choose to have elaborate and grand fountains installed. You my also choose to add simple rock fountain that greatly serves its purpose at such small a cost. Landscape lighting you can enjoy your garden even without the sun, the moon or the stars. By installing simple lights on trees and other plants, you can create a beautiful setting which can even be romantic and enticing. Lighting does not have to be permanent. You can use Christmas lights or even lanterns and candles to illuminate your garden anytime. Lights can also prevent strangers from hiding in your garden. Garden furniture the best way to enjoy the beauty of your garden is to stay in it and in order to do so you might need chairs and tables specifically designed for the outdoors. These could also serve as picnic furniture for those times you would want to have barbecue outdoor dinners. The garden experience can greatly be enhanced by garden dcor. Saturday, November 24th, 2007

By Ian W Anderson Weve heard it so many times from all walks of life; Americans are over worked, over stressed and much deserving of a refreshing break. And we all know that one of the best and most popular ways to relieve stress and tension is a visit to the local day spa or better yet a week-long stay at a luxury spa resort. The answer might be as easy as creating your very own spa experience at home with inexpensive products purchased from your local or online spa supply. With products like facial masks, foot massagers and exfoliating body creams at your disposal, you will have no need to shell out money for a masseuse or to cover travel expenses. All you will have to do to get all of the pampering and luxury that you need is delve into your private spa supply collection. While you wont need a lot of products to make your home spa experience as luxurious as its more expensive counterparts, there are a few products that every home spa supply should include. Here is a brief look at just a few of the products that you will want to have on hand: * Massaging foot bath - When you come home from a long days work it seems like everything is aching, especially your feet. So, why not come home to your very own foot spa? Many of these spas come with heat and massage features and can do wonders for aching joints and weary feet. Combine this product with your favorite cleansers, toners and moisturizers to create the perfect salon experience at home. You can purchase one of these for about $45. * Hot oil manicure set - This is the ultimate luxury and will leave your hands and nails feeling and looking great. The soothing heated oil will help repair damaged and dry nail cuticles and will also help condition and strengthen your nails. These are hard to find, but can be purchased for around $30 at most beauty supply stores. Are Cheap Cigarette The Cause of Flight Attendant’s Sinus?

Friday, November 23rd, 2007

By Gloria Joseph Cheap cigarettes Heres an unbelievable, but true news story making the rounds of websites on cigarette. Ever wonder what causes sinus? An American Airlines flight attendant thinks it is secondhand tobacco smoke. Cheap Cigarettes and common cold Secondhand cheap cigarette smoke! Geez, be real! We thought sitting in the no smoking section was safe. How about secondhand cigarette smoke causing the common cold? Then cold sufferers throughout the world can laugh all the way to the bank with money earned from suing sundry cigarette companies. A split appeals court supports a new trial for a former American Airlines flight attendant who lost her claim against the cheap cigarette and tobacco industry that secondhand cigarette smoke caused her sinus disease. Guess they need some excuse to blame the tobacco industry. Anything will do be it second hand smoke in offices, aircraft, theatres, even the rest rooms! Guess anything is good enough reason to sue the tobacco industry for damages. Cigarette case to be retriedA three-judge panel of the third District Court of Appeal ruled 2-1 in favor of a new trial Wednesday for Suzette Janoff, which Circuit Judge Leslie Rothenberg ordered after trial. The majority agreed with Rothenberg that expert testimony for cigarette makers was unfairly “bolstered” by a defense attorney after questions by the woman’s attorney punched a hole in his conclusions. After testifying that allergies caused the woman’s condition, the expert conceded that one medical group’s Web site said secondhand cigarette smoke could aggravate sinus conditions. Cigarettes and sinus conditionAggravate sinus condition? What else could aggravate sinus conditions? Even ambient air and vehicular pollution can aggravate sinus conditions, not only cigarette smoke. Cigarette makers argued that Janoff’s attorney, Steven Hunter, opened the door for the testimony. Come on folks how about infusing some reality into all the hype about cigarettes being the cause of common colds, sinuses, and sundry other common ailments. Cigarettes at cheap may help treat sepsis Cigarette smokers can now take heart. Heres some encouraging news to warm the hearts of cigarette aficionados! The active ingredient in tobacco may actually have a beneficial effect on the body in treating a common and potentially deadly type of infection process known as sepsis, new research shows. Sepsis is the third leading cause of death in developed countries and accounts for nearly nine per cent of deaths in the U.S. each year. The condition begins as an infection that activates the entire immune system to an exaggerated degree. The immune system then sets off a chain of events that can lead to uncontrolled inflammation in the body, shock, and eventually death. Until recently, the only way doctors could treat sepsis was with powerful antibiotics and other supportive care. In 2001, the drug Xigris became the first available therapy for sepsis and has been shown to reduce the risk of death due to the condition. But now there is encouraging news that tobacco, the raw ingredient in cheap cigarettes is good for the treatment options for sepsis. http://www.onlinesmoker.com/CigarettesArticles/cheapcigarettes.asp Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Gloria_Joseph http://EzineArticles.com/?Are-Cheap-Cigarette-The-Cause-of-Flight-Attendants-Sinus?&id=5205 order pharmacy tramadol buy tramadol without a prescription ultram online no prescription buy tramadol cheap

Teenage Girls Who Eat This Weigh Less

Thursday, November 22nd, 2007

By Edward Lewis Researchers from the Maryland Medical Research Institute in Baltimore, MD, found that eating cold cereals with milk is a very healthy breakfast. Using data from the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute Growth Health Study over a 10-year period, which involved 2,379 African-American and white girls, aged between 9 to 19, the researchers found that those who do not eat cereals on a regular basis have a 13 percent risk of being overweight, compared to those who eat cereals regularly. The girls in the study were residing in Berkeley, California; Cincinnati, Ohio; and Washington, D.C. The study was funded by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), with support from General Mills, the cereal manufacturer. The researchers also found that the fat content in non-cereal breakasts taken by the girls was 60 percent higher than in cereal breakfasts. The positive effects of consuming cereals regularly for breakfast have been attributed to the fairly high fiber content in cereals which can make you feel full so much so that you will not want to eat as much during lunch. In addition, the calcium content in milk has been linked to fat burning. By Gum

Wednesday, November 21st, 2007

By Peter Shuttlewood Since ancient times natives have chewed on tree sap, beeswax, parafin wax, spruce wax and chicle, the sap from the Sapodilla tree. Chewing Gum, the moden day equivalent, may have still been a relatively tasteless confectionery had it not been for one very smart salesman. William Wrigley Jr. came to Chicago in the spring of 1891. He was 29 years old, had $32 in his pocket, and possessed unlimited energy and great talent as a salesman. He started out selling soap. As an extra incentive to merchants to carry Wrigleys soap, he offered them free baking powder. When baking powder proved to be more popular than soap, he switched to the baking powder business. One day, Mr. Wrigley got the idea to offer merchants free chewing gum with each can of baking powder. The chewing gum proved more popular than the baking powder and the rest is history. In 1893 Wrigleys released Juicy Fruit followed a few months later by Spearmint gum. By 1920 construction began on the Wrigley Building. A symbol of Chicago featured in countless articles, books, films, and television programs, the Wrigley Building and its distinctive towers are an architectural favorite among Chicagos residents and visitors. During World War II, company president Philip Wrigley led an unusual move to support U.S. troops and and took Wrigleys Spearmint, Doublemint and Juicy Fruit off the civilian market and dedicated the entire output to the U.S. Armed Forces. Thanks to a strong remember the wrapper advertising campaign, sales soared again after the war ended. In 1984 Extra Sugarfree Gum was introduced as consumers became more concerned with the sugar content in foods and especially confectionery. When spat on the ground, chewing gum will stick firmly and can only be removed with great difficulty. For this reason, the sale of chewing gum has been prohibited in Singapore since 1992. In 2004, Wrigleys purchased the Life Savers and Altoids businesses from Kraft Foods and it now sells its products in more than 180 countries and maintains 14 factories in various countries, including Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand, the Philippines, France, Kenya, Taiwan, China, India, Poland, and Russia. Today, Australians now chew more than 120 million packs of Wrigleys gum per year. The newest flavours Juicy Fruit Citronic and Strappleberrry sound more like electronic parts than gum. Nokia N93: A Bulky Beast

Tuesday, November 20th, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Ana_Eileen]Ana Eileen It boasts of a 3.2-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, and is capable of recording MPEG-4 VGA video at up to 30 frames per second. Equipped with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and e-mail support, the N93 scores well on the connectivity front. It measures 4.6 by 2.1 by 1.1 inches and weighs 6.3 ounces, which is pretty huge for any handset. The phone is bulky and it might take you some time to get used to its mammoth size. The size though comes in handy when you decide to use the N93 as a camcorder rather than a phone. The camera gets automatically activated as you open the front flap halfway and swivel the screen 90 degrees. The quality of pictures and videos as delivered by the handset is exceptional to say the least. The secondary VGA camera is placed above the internal screen and can be use for photos and video. The swivel design of Nokia N93 also comes in handy to best view your photo gallery and videos. Its vivid and sharp, 2.4-inch QVGA internal screen, displaying 262,144 colours at a 320×240-pixel resolution, brings alive all your pictures and backgrounds. This wonder device can also be used as a portable music player that comes equipped with a Mini SD expansion slot and a Pop-Port connector (for the USB cable and headset). The Nokia N93 is slated to give 5.1 hours of talk time and up to 10 days of standby time. The handset surpasses all our expectations not just in this regard, but in all others as well. This incredible device is par excellence and is the one to be owned! Picking The Best Wedding Gown For Your Plus Size Figure

Monday, November 19th, 2007

By Crystal Unrau Everyone wants to be a princess on their wedding day and plus sized women are no exception. I have been frustrated with the lack of information, or at least good information, available for those of us who are plus sized, so I have put together some information to try and help you out. The first and most important piece of advice I can give is this: MAKE SURE YOU CHOOSE A GOWN YOU LIKE! You will not feel beautiful in any gown that you know in your heart not to be right. Just because someone else says its what you should be wearing wont make you feel better on your wedding day. Make sure YOU like what you decide to wear! The second is this: SHOW OFF! Being plus sized does not mean you are not feminine and beautiful. Dont be ashamed to show off what God gave you. The tips below are just guidelines to help you figure out how to SHOW OFF your best features. Tip Number One: Styles Try an A-line! An A-line style is fitted through the bodice with a slightly flared skirt. This is a popular style because it flatters most figures and can help hide full hips and/or large thighs. Be Careful With Ball Gowns. A ball gown style is similar to the A-line but with a very full skirt. This style is also good for hiding hips and thighs, but if you carry your weight in your chest and arms, a full skirt will create an overwhelm sense of roundness. Avoid Sheaths and Mermaid/Trumpet styles. A mermaid/trumpet style is fitted until just at or below the knee. These will emphasize a larger rear, hips and thighs. A sheath is fitted from top to bottom, like an all over tube top idea. This style shows everything with extreme detail. Tip Number Two: Waistlines Try a dropped or natural waistline. A natural waistline is at your natural waist, obviously. With a full skirt, this waist line can make a waist look smaller. A dropped waistline falls just a few inches below the waist. This is awesome for making the waist appear smaller and for lengthening the torso. Be careful with Basque and Empire waistlines. A Basque waistline looks like a V or U shape in the front. This is good for making the waist appear slim and hiding full hips, but can emphasize a protruding tummy as well. Empire waistlines are higher, usually just below the bust line. This is great for drawing attention away from thicker waists and lengthening but will overemphasize a large bust. Avoid Princess Waists. These are gowns without a defined waist line and they draw attention towards your middle. Tip Number Three: Necklines Strapless gowns and spaghetti straps are not the best choices for the plus size bride. Thicker straps and/or sleeves will help create a look of balance. A square bust line is a good choice if you want to show off your bust line without revealing too much. A traditional scooped, or U shaped neckline will work for just about anyone. A sweetheart neckline, which forms a sort of heart shape over the bust, is also good for emphasizing a great bust line. If you carry most of your weight in your upper half, you may want to avoid V-Necks and halters, as they draw attention upward. A halter style in particular, is great for de-emphasizing broad shoulders and showing off your back. Off-the shoulder straps, on the other hand, will emphasize broad shoulders but can be a good choice if you want to show off your upper body. Tip Number Four: Finding a gown in your size The most important thing is to shop early! Before you go, stop in and have a seamstress take your measurements. Wedding gown sizes run different than regular clothes, so getting accurate measurements will give you a better idea of what size you really need. Then get to the store! Dont just look at dresses in stock. Ask the store owner to show you gowns that can be ordered in your size. This will widen your selection. Make sure you give yourself enough time to shop around, dont forget to check out the online bridal salons for a great selection. It can take 2 months or so to receive a dress if you order one, and keep in mind that you will need to leave a few weeks to schedule fitting and alterations as needed. So again SHOP EARLY! When your dress is in and you take it to get altered, wear the undergarments you plan on wearing on your wedding day to help give the seamstress an accurate idea of what you need done. And Last But Not Least: Accessorize with Care! The biggest regret of my wedding day was my veil. I had a gorgeous full skirted wedding gown and I choose a very large veil with a big pouf behind my head. The pouf distracted from everything else because of its size. Another lesson Ive learned: balance with your hair! I wore a ball gown for my graduation and had my hair all pulled back into a tight updo. My gown looked great, my head looked like a balloon sitting on top! Moral: avoid overdoing it with accessories. Simple, complimentary headpieces and jewelry that dont distract from you or the dress are best. And get your hair done before and take a few pictures with the gown on. What looks great when you are wearing jeans and a t-shirt might disappear behind a huge gown and veil. Crystal Unrau was a beautiful plus size bride in May of 1999 and now lives with her husband and 3 children. She is the owner of Chrys Cross Bridal. Does Your Marketing Plan Include A Crystal Ball? It Should

Saturday, November 17th, 2007

By Debbie LaChusa Are there times you wish you had a crystal ball? If you could only see how things were going to turn out, it would be so much easier to make the correct decisions now. What marketing activities should you do? How muchshould you spend on marketing? What products and services should you put the most marketing musclebehind? Instead we’re forced to make decisions on a daily basis, hoping those decisions will lead us to where we want to go and make our business successful. Well, there is a way you can use the power of a future vision to help you reach your goals There is a way to help you make decisions along the way and increase the chances your business will end up exactly where you want it to be - abundant with clients and wildly successful. You can do it by using visioning to cement your desired outcome in your mind, just like the picture you’d see in a crystal ball. The best part is, YOU create the picture! It’s called visioning and it works! Visioning is a powerful exercise. If you’re notfamiliar with it, or you’ve never done it, I invite you to try it. If you are familiar with visioning, when’s the lasttime you sat down and envisioned the success youwant to create with your business? If it’s been more than six months, I encourage youto sit down and go through the process again. Give it a try … you’ll be amazed at the results I invite you to sit back, relax and create the vision for your future success. First, read the rest of this article, then sit backand close your eyes. Answer each of the following questions. Don’t just answer them verbally or on paper. Answer them by “seeing” the answers in your mind. If it helps, record your own voice, asking these questions, then do your visioning exercise as you play back the recording. Be sure to create a vivid vision of your future success. Paint this picture however YOU want it to be. It’s your future. It’s your business. It’s your life. Make it what YOU want it to be. Don’t be afraid to dream BIG! Here we go: Fast-forward in your mind to exactly one year from today. (Okay, I know that sounds a little weird, but just play along … this stuff really works!) Visualize what your business looks like. Think back to all you’ve accomplished over the past year. What successes have you had? What does your office or place of business look like? Picture it inside and out … the location, the furniture, the view out your window. How many clients do you have? Are they happy? Are they sending you raving testimonials? Are they referring all their friends? What products and services are you selling? Which ones are most popular? How many are you selling each month? What new knowledge and capabilities do you have? How are you using it to help others and to be successful? How much are your weekly bank deposits? What’s the balanceon your bank statement? How much money is pouring in fromyour online store? How many hours a week are you working? Are you tired? Are you full of energy? Are you happy? Fulfilled? How are your relationships with your family and friends? What kind of car are you driving? What does your house look like? Have you taken any big vacations? Done anything else memorable? What else do you see? Soak it all in. It’s really here. You’ve worked hard for the past year but you’ve achieved your dream. You are a success! When you are done … Remain quiet for a few minutes. Then open your eyes. Take a few minutes to write down what you saw. Then keep thiswritten vision statement handy. It’s great to be able to pull it out and read it, especially when things don’t seem to be going your way. Take the time to review it monthly, or even every couple of weeks. This vision becomes a magnet, pulling you toward the success you want to create. It will cause you to do things to turn your vision into reality. It’s actually quite amazing how it works. And the best part is it doesn’t take much time and it doesn’t cost anything. I invite you to try it and see how far your business grows.
